The rohe of Te Tai Hauāuru covers much of the western areas of Te Ika-a-Māui | North Island, spanning the west coast from Kawhia Harbour in the north to Porirua in the south, encompassing Taranaki and Whanganui, and extending in the east to the shores of Lake Taupō and along the length of the Ruahine and Tararua Ranges.
Case study participants within this rohe include Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi, and NZ Bio Forestry. These case studies explore the specific effects of climate change from an iwi/Māori-led perspective.
